Announcements and tones are used by a number of the Invex components. They can be added and modified through Manager.
From here you can add new hold music, Agent Phone tones and IVR announcements. Pre-defined announcements for Invex agents that use a telephone but have no agent PC are displayed and can be modified.
The Music Loops and Announcements Names reflect '.wav' files stored in the rostrvm database available for use by Invex components for playing music, tones or announcements. It is important that new '.wav' files are imported into the rostrvm database using the Manager Announcements operations (rather than other means such as File Editor) as it ensures that the files are stored in the correct format.
Announcements Panel
This shows a list of all configured announcements grouped by type (e.g. ivr, loops, Nuisance, VoiceMail).
| • | Announcement - the name of the announcement; |
| • | Duration - the duration of the announcement; |
| • | Modified - the date and time that the announcement was last modified. |
From here you can:
| • | Create Announcement - click the Create button on the Announcements panel to add a new announcement; |
| • | Modify Announcement - click on the announcement name and select Properties from the drop-down menu to view or change the properties of an existing entry. |
| • | Play - click an announcement name and select the Play option from the drop-down menu to listen to the audio; |
| • | Change hold and queue music - the default Hold or Queue Music is shown with the held or queue music icon next to it. To change it simply click on another announcement name and Select as queue music or Select as hold music from the drop-down menu. |
Predefined Announcements Panel
This shows a list of all predefined announcements grouped by type (e.g. General, Invex Agent Logon, Invex Queue, ivr, loops). Other than Create, the same operations are available as those on the Announcements Panel.
