rostrvm allows internal data stores to be set up and populated from external sources such as customer data files.  How data is imported from a data file into a rostrvm data store is defined and controlled through the creation of import profiles.


Data Stores Panel

Defines the structure of an internal rostrvm data store. This defines additional customer specific data associated with outbound accounts.

Data Store - the name of the data store;
Key - the key field which is used to link standard rostrvm account data to the associated specific customer data store;
Import Profile References - the number of import profiles that reference this data store;
List References - the number of lists that reference this data store.

 

From here you can:

Create Data Store - click the Create button on the Data Stores panel to add a new entry;
Modify Data Store - click on the Data Store name and select Properties from the drop-down menu to view or change the properties of an existing entry.
View Data - click on the Data Store name and select View from the drop-down menu to view and manage the data held within the data store.

 


Data Import Profiles Panel

Defines how data is mapped and loaded into an Internal Store from an external source.

Import Profile - the name of the import profile;
Data Store - the data store to which this profile is linked;
Format - the format of the source files (CSV delimited, Tab delimited);
Columns - the first few columns defined in the import profile.

 

From here you can:

Create Import Profile - click the Create button on the Data Import Profiles panel to add a new entry;
Modify Import Profile - click on the Import Profile name to view or change the properties of an existing entry.
