Contact lists are central to rostrvm OutBound.  Contact lists are groupings of customer data records, all of which generally have something in common.  A detailed description of contact lists and how they fit into the outbound environment can be found in the Campaigns Report section of this user guide.

Lists are imported into rostrvm data stores through import profiles generally from ascii text files.

General Panel

You can enter the details to allow the list data to be imported.

Import Profile (File Type) - the name of the import profile to be used when importing the data.  The import profile defines the mapping between the rows in the import file (source) and the records in the database (destination);
File(s) to import - navigate and select the file(s) to be imported.
Assign To Campaign - this option allows the imported lists to be automatically assigned to a campaign.  If the list(s) are already assigned then this should be set to blank by hitting the cross on the right of the input field;
Import mode - this determines whether the new data Overwrites any existing data, is Added to any existing data, or existing data is Updated;
Handling of records with duplicate telephone numbers and/or account references - you can either  allow duplicate telephone numbers, exclude duplicate records within the same list, or exclude duplicate records within the same campaign (as long as the list is assigned to a campaign);
Check records against TPS - whether the data should be verified against a TPS list (ticked) or not.
Minimum telephone number length - the minimum length of any telephone numbers that should be imported.  If a telephone number is shorter than this length then the account is terminated with a reason of excluded;
Reject non-numeric telephone numbers - if set then any telephone numbers that contain non-numeric characters will cause the account to be terminated with a reason of excluded.

From here you can:
