<Manage Reports   How to navigate to this page>   Typical display>

Manage the properties of a specific report.

General Tab

Name - the name of your new custom report;
Menu - the title bar menu from which your report will be available;
Description - a description of the report;
Set as home display - by default the Home MIS report is set as your home display.  To change it to this report then select this tick box.
Require report to be run manually - if ticked this report will display a Run Report button which when clicked will run the report.  Normally the report is run on selection and when any of the parameters are changed which can take a significant amount of time.  Using this option allows the setting of multiple parameters (without waiting between the setting of each one) prior to the report being executed.

Panels Tab

A list of the panels that are present on this report (note that this is not shown if there are no panels defined, when creating a new report for example):

Title - the name of the panel;
Style - the style in which the data on this panel is displayed (e.g. table, bar chart, pie chart, etc.);
Refresh - the refresh rate for the panel.  Care should be taken when changing this parameter as it can adversely affect system performance should it be set too low;
Width - the panel width (e.g. full, half, quarter screen etc.).

Visibility Tab

User Groups - the user groups that have access to this report;
Users - the individual users that have access to this report.

Operations

From here you can:

Save - click the Save button to apply the changes.  If this is a new entry it will appear on the Reports report;
Delete - click the Delete button to remove the entry (only available for non pre-defined reports);
View - click the View button to display your modified report;
Clone - rather than create a report from scratch it is more usual to select a similar report and start by copying it first.  The copied report can then be customised using the standard functions.  To copy an existing report navigate to the report to be copied Properties page and click the Clone button.
