Manage the properties of a specific panel query.


Query Input Pane

SQL Edit window - this area is used to type in and edit the panel SQL query (see create a new report example for details).

 

From here you can:

Save - click the Save button to apply the changes.  If this is a new entry it will appear on the Reports report.
Delete - click the Delete button to remove the entry (only available for non pre-defined panels);
Settings - click this button to modify the display settings;
Expand - click this button to expand this pane over the information panes.
Exit - back to the Mange Reports display.

 


Query Result Pane

SQL Results window - This area is used to check the validity of the SQL query, run the query, and to change the display style of the data resulting from the query.  The columns and data resulting from the query are displayed.
Show differences - If a standard display panel has been changed, from here you can also show the differences between the modified query and the original standard query.  Click the show differences button on the top right of the pane to change the content to show the query with the differences highlighted appropriately.

 


Information Panes

Quick Reference - a number of the more common keywords that can be used in your SQL queries;
Used in reports - shows in which reports this query is used, together with the format in which it is presented, and the refresh rate;
Query Parameters - shows which parameters are available for this panel.

 


Operations

From here you can:

Save - click the Save button to apply the changes.  If this is a new entry it will appear on the Reports report.
