<Voice/Screen Recorders Report   How to navigate to this page>   Typical display>

Manage the properties of the rostrvm internal AuditLog voice/screen recorder.

A standalone AuditLog search utility is available to to search for, save and play back recordings.

General Tab

Details to determine if voice or screen recording is to be performed, and if so on which contacts.

Contact Recording Control - determines if and how contacts are recorded.  Options include:
  On - all contacts will be recorded;
  Off - contacts will not be recorded;
  Agent Controlled - contacts will only be recorded if the agent specifically selects the record option through AdVisor;
  Percentage of contacts - only a percentage of connected contacts will be recorded.
The reason for the two Off options is for bandwidth and efficiency (i.e. it is more efficient if recording is not needed for silent monitor to be disabled also.
Do Not Record Voice or Screen for Contacts of Class/Campaign - allows you to set which classes of contacts are not recorded (i.e. by default all contacts are recorded unless the call class is moved to the Selected pane).

Screen Recording Tab

Details to determine how screen recording is to be performed.  This tab is only present if Screen Recording is licenced.

Recording Resolution - determines the quality of the recordings which in turn determines how much disk space is consumed.  Three levels are available for selection (default medium);
Maximum Duration - the maximum duration (in minutes) of each recording.  This is used to ensure that agents who after handling a contact leave themselves in wrap-up do not create excessive recordings.

It should be noted that stations being recorded must have the computer name associated with the station configured in order to enable screen recording on a station.  The computer name is needed to determine which screen to record when a contact is detected at a particular station.

Media Archiving Tab

Details to identify how recordings are archived.

Archive Location - the file location for the archive files.  This may be set as a list of locations (semi-colon separated).  The last entry is the location of any new archive files, and the other entries are used to read existing archive files (i.e. this allows you to move archive files to other locations).
Maximum Archive Size (Gb) - the maximum size of the archive files.  When this limit is reached a new archive file is created;
Purge archives after (months) - the number of months after which the archive files will be purged.  If set to 0 then they will never be purged.

It is highly recommended that the archive location should be a local disk on a different partition to that of the rostrvm database.  Voice/screen recordings should not be configured to be written directly to shares or mapped drives as this can result in operational issues (i.e. slow writes, user permissions, network availability etc.).
