rostrvm can send, receive, and manipulate both emails and SMS texts. In order to send these out from rostrvm an email SMTP server needs to be configured. This will be used for the transmission of all emails and SMS texts. Note that you are able to configure one and only one server.
General Tab
SMTP server details.
| • | Server Host Name or IP Address - the host name or IP address of your SMTP server to be used for sending emails; |
| • | Server Port - the port number of the SMTP server (set to 25 or 587 for SMTP, or 468 for SMTPS (secure)). This can be left blank for automatic discovery. |
| • | Default From Address - the address to be used as the sender for the emails; |
| • | User Name / Password - an optional username and password for login on to the SMTP server. |
Operations
From here you can:
| • | Save - click the Save button to apply the changes; |
| • | Send Test - click the Send Test button to test whether the outgoing SMTP server configuration is correct. The Send Email dialog is displayed. |
